We all get distracted at times and feel we are not productive in completing our work tasks, sometimes all we need is a little breathing space to relax and reenergise are thoughts to focus on the task in hand. Becoming aware of what’s going on around you can make an enormous difference, because we spend so much time wrapped up in our thoughts that we lose contact with the real world. That’s especially the case if you’re constantly bombarded by emails, meetings and heavy workload. This workshop will use the concept of mindfulness and bring it to play at work and how to adapt mindfulness techniques into your working day to being calm and productive. 

Learning Objectives 

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:


  • Know the importance of mindfulness at work
  • Look at the physical and mental benefits of mindfulness 
  • Learn techniques on mindfulness practices
  • Notice signs of stress and how to overcome them
  • Practise breathing exercises
  • Think clearly on one important task to complete
  • Improve their wellbeing and productivity


   



 


Pre-course preparation


  • Participants to complete a pre-course questionnaire outlining their strengths and weaknesses, prior training and what they would like to get out of the course.
