Becoming an Influential Negotiator

Being able to influence someone is an essential skill to have. Everyone can influence someone to get them to buy into their vision/ideas – this can go a long way in being successful in any relationships at work, but you can go a long way in using so many strategies and still find yourself with the other person saying: “not sure” – we don’t want to hear that! This highly effective and engaging workshop is an essential for anyone looking to build effective working relationships and get someone to say “yes” to you all the time.

Learning Objectives 

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:


  • Know the importance of influencing and how to get buy in
  • Get to grips on the biopsychological approach behind influencing
  • Read own body language as well as others 
  • Learn the art of negotiation 
  • Stand out of the group and lead with impact
  • Know how to influence social groups at work
  • Influence in large groups - use of the ‘snowball effect’
  • Look at the role of collective bargaining
  • Effectively implement influencing and negotiation techniques to action points at work   



 


Pre-course preparation


  • Participants to complete a pre-course questionnaire outlining their strengths and weaknesses, prior training and what they would like to get out of the course.
