 Workplace Effectiveness

Workplace effectiveness is more crucial than ever, our unique need to collaborative with others effectively requires us to build on our soft skills.  Soft skills include being more self-aware of others, understanding our team members better, communicating effectively and building rapport with others. All these skills are needed to challenge personal and professional development to making the right impact in being effective as an organisation.

Identifying the need for workplace effectiveness

We work in collaboration with you to find the best solution for an effective workplace. Our approach is to help you to achieve an effective outcome through our many services for your workplace needs.


Process

For the workplace to be effective, we need to understand peoples job roles and how we can align the job to fit to the structural process of your organisation. To be truly effective we will work with you in designing a job analysis framework which will specify the job role and the person’s fit towards the role. This will include also understanding where their job fits into the organisation, what attributes are needed to carry out the role and where development is needed for them.     


Delivery

Working alongside you, we will create a bespoke programme in designing a developmental need for an effective workplace. This will include the use of psychometric tools, training courses and a coaching service all to cater and fulfil your organisations full potential in being truly effective.   


Talent Management

A solution for your talent gap

Our approach to this problem is to identify your company's unique needs and in collaboration with you develop a structured approach to help identify and fill that talent gap.


1st stage - Understanding your talent gap

  • Asking the right questions and using a standardised structured approach to identify your unique needs.


2nd stage - Finding the ideal fit

  • In collaboration we help you to devise a bespoke approach for finding the right person including employing validated psychometric testing, structuring the interview and designing assessment centres.


Retaining and developing talent


We will work with you to develop structured processes to retain and develop your talent. This will involve:


  • Developing performance management strategies including appraisal and personal developement plans.
  • Training - identifying unique training needs and signposting to fulfill these needs.

Health and Wellbeing 

Ill health amongst employees has huge implications for companies ranging from the costs of:

  • Staff turnover
  • Presenteeism (the act of attending work while sick)


Research has shown sickness absence costs UK businesses an estimated £29bn each year with the average worker taking 6.6 days off each year due to sickness. Evidence shows that presenteeism can account for up to 50% more working time lost then absenteeism. It has been estimated that an average London firm of 250 employees loses around £250,000 a year due to ill health.


At G&A Initiative we recognise the importance of health and wellbeing in the workplace and pride ourselves in taking a holistic approach to deal with this issue. We believe it is important not just to be reactive and manage ill health but to look at the root causes and promote health and wellbeing. We like to use the WHO definition of health in the broader sense being:


"a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"


Taking a biopsychosocial approach, we help to identify potential areas that can trigger ill health and proactively put in place initiatives to combat these. The aim being to reduce the impact of ill health on the company and more importantly to increase the health of the workforce leading to reduced absenteeism, better productivity and an increase in overall staff satisfaction rates.
